We provided full Quantity Surveying services to Wicklow County Council for the redevelopment of the Abbey Grounds in Wicklow Town — a historically significant public space in the heart of the town, adjacent to the ruins of a medieval Franciscan friary, brought into Council ownership in 2021 with support from Fáilte Ireland's Destination Town Fund.

The project transforms the Abbey Grounds into a vibrant multi-functional public space and event venue for the local community and visitors alike. Works include the conversion of the historic Coach House into a new café and exhibition space with public toilet facilities, the creation of an outdoor amphitheatre and performance area, improved universal access, enhanced pedestrian circulation routes throughout the grounds, and a new entrance to the parochial house. The project has been carefully designed in accordance with National Monuments requirements, reflecting the sensitivity of this historic setting in the centre of Wicklow Town.
